But this still remains as a temporary fix, I believe, and it seems that something is wrong either in the software side or the hardware side with my Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Graphic processor. So far, this seems to have helped and, so far, I have not had a shutdown. I did have a chat session with the Adobe rep and was told to uncheck the graphic processor in both Photoshop and Lightroom. I installed a Corsair water-cooled system.and then it was shutting off and on nearly every 5 to 10 minutes.but ONLY when I was processing photos in Photoshop and Lightroom.and no other time.including rendering videos in Premier Pro.so, I don't think it is an overheating situation as all indications are the CPU and graphics card are in a safe range. it happened again.maybe an overheating situation. A little background: it started about 6 months ago, a one-time event, not a problem I thought.a couple of months later. Photoshop and Lightroom have been crashing my computer.
